What the full version needs
Photo storage — Cloudflare R2 or Firebase Storage holds the originals (this prototype keeps photos in your tab only)
A tiny database — galleries, links, and picks, so selections sync in real time and survive closing the tab
Private links — unguessable gallery URLs; optional passcode per client
ZIP export — bundle all picks into one download for the photographer

Real limitations to know
This prototype is single-device — picks don't sync to your photographer yet; that needs the storage + database above
Free tiers have ceilings — fine for one photographer and dozens of clients; heavy RAW batches would need paid storage
Originals vs. previews — the real version should show fast previews and keep full-res files for the final download
No accounts needed is a feature, but link-sharing means anyone with the link can pick — a passcode option covers sensitive shoots
Recommended v1: exactly what's on this page, wired to Supabase (free) for galleries and picks, Cloudflare R2 for photos, hosted free on Cloudflare Pages. One photographer, unlimited client links, real-time results. Grow from there — comments, client accounts, and payments only if it takes off.
